A social history interview with Betty Florence Nicholas Rundle Aldridge in her home in Christchurch, New Zealand. Betty was born in June 1912.  She talks to her grandson about her childhood, living through two World Wars and various epidemics, her marriage, raising a family, social changes and progress with electricity, telephones, etc. This interview was recorded in November 1991 when Betty was 79 years of age. Sadly Betty died in August 2001. Part 1 of 4
