Why: why not? The day started at -5 degrees, but that didn't deter nearly 800 Secondary School students from around Canterbury to take part in the annual UC Education Secondary Schools Mud Run. 5km's of obstacles, hurdles, slides and mud...lots of mud couldn't wipe the smiles off faces, the laughter from participants and even more laughter from their parents as they watched their off-spring slip and slide their way around the course.
